A Celebration of Life will take place at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on Friday, September 11 at 2 pm, with calling from 12-2 p.m.
Gary Ray Bauer, 68, passed into eternal life on September 8, 2015 after courageously battling heart disease. He was born September 24, 1946 to Raymond and Gladys Bauer in Mansfield, OH. He was a member of the Broad Ripple High School class of 1964 and graduated from IU Herron School of Art. He spent 30 years of his career as a directory artist with the Yellow Pages. His Christian life was important; he loved attending St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. He enjoyed participating in Men’s Fellowship as well as Stephen’s Ministry.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents and sister Nancy Bauer Heston. He is survived by his wife Cindy Bauer; children Adam and Bethany Bauer, Anne Bauer Lally (Marty); grandchildren Ashlyn Bauer, Brooke and Michael Garrett Lally. He was a loving husband of 48 years, father, Papa and friend to many. He will be remembered for his positive attitude and generous spirit.

You have my heartfelt
condolences at your great loss.I met Gary only once at the happy event of the wedding of our son to Karen. I have my memories of him from that beautiful night and he was so kind and caring. I am sorry we have lost him and that I did not get more of a chance to know him
better.

I lived directly behind the Bauer family and was always friends with Gary during childhood at PS #59 and at BRHS.He was always a straight up gentleman and a kind and righteous soul. We always enjoyed sharing childhood memories, mutual friends, and new acquaintances. He was just a great guy…always with smile!!
